Required Qualifications

• Must possess a TSA-issued TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). (experience)
• Preferred: State, county, or city-issued security-related license. (experience)
• Minimum age of 18 years for unarmed roles. (experience)
• High school diploma or equivalent required. (experience)
• Successful completion of a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. (experience)
• Ability to consider qualified applications with criminal histories. (experience)
• Ability to perform regular and random patrols. (experience)
• Must be able to monitor and control access points. (experience)
• Ability to complete shift activity reports and incident reports. (experience)
• Must be able to communicate effectively via radio and phone. (experience)
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site in Benicia, California. (experience)
• Physical ability to conduct patrols, including walking and standing for extended periods. (experience)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. (experience)
• Strong observational skills to detect unusual activity or hazardous conditions. (experience)
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with employees and visitors. (experience)
• Ability to remain calm and problem-solve in emergency situations. (experience)
• Knowledge of security procedures and site-specific policies. (experience)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. (experience)
• Ability to understand and follow instructions. (experience)
• Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings. (experience)

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients by executing security-related procedures.
• Implement site-specific policies and emergency response activities at an industrial energy and processing location.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
• Report any conditions that may impact operations to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Conduct frequent and random patrols of buildings, processing areas, tank farms, access roads, and perimeter fencing.
• Actively deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazardous conditions during patrols.
• Monitor and control all access points for employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Verify identification of individuals seeking access, ensuring they have proper authorization.
• Document entries and exits meticulously, adhering to site requirements and security protocols.
• Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and maintain required logs accurately.
• Communicate effectively via radio and/or phone to coordinate with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter crime and ensure the safety of the site.
• Assist in emergency response efforts, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
• Conduct security checks to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
• Provide clear and concise information to visitors and employees regarding security protocols.
• Report any security breaches or violations to the appropriate authorities.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance security skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure comprehensive site security.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support site security operations.
