As an unarmed patrol officer, you will conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour, offering a schedule of Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
As a Security Officer - Community Patrol Driver, your day will involve a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the campus community. You will begin your shift by receiving a briefing from the previous shift, reviewing any incidents or concerns that need to be addressed. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols of assigned areas, including academic buildings, residence halls, parking lots, and common spaces. During your patrols, you will be highly visible, deterring unauthorized activity and policy violations. You will also monitor access points, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the premises. Throughout the day, you will interact with students, faculty, staff, and visitors, providing assistance and answering questions. You will respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus partners and local responders as needed. Accurate report writing and documentation of all activities and incidents are essential components of the role.
