Role Overview

As a Security Officer - Flex - Distribution Site - Access Control, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a flexible schedule and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor alarms and activities to support security-related operations. This role requires routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents while providing professional customer service to drivers, visitors, and staff. A valid driver's license is required for this driving post.

A Day in the Life

On a typical day, you will:

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Control access at gatehouse and/or entry points by checking identification, validating appointments and shipping documentation, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
• Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic, coordinating with shipping and receiving, verifying trailer and seal information when required, and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or local authorities as directed and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, yard lines, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
