Role Overview

As a Security Officer - Flex - Financial Institutions, you will be responsible for safeguarding clients and assets at various financial institution locations. You will serve as a visible deterrent to crime, conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents as needed. This is a flexible, part-time position that allows you to build a schedule that works for you using our innovative Claim a Shift platform. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety and security of the premises, its occupants, and assets, while providing excellent customer service.

A Day in the Life

Your day will begin with a briefing from the previous shift, where you will receive updates on any incidents or issues that need attention. You will then proceed with your assigned duties, which may include:

  • Patrolling the Premises: Conducting regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the financial institution, including lobbies, ATM areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas, to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity.
  • Monitoring Access Points: Verifying identification and appointment information, directing individuals to the appropriate areas, and ensuring that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
  • Responding to Alarms and Incidents: Investigating alarms, suspicious activity, and other incidents in a calm and problem-solving manner, escalating to management and/or public service partners as needed.
