Allied Universal is seeking dedicated Security Professionals to join our team at a new Freestanding ER in Saint Augustine, Florida. As a Security Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors within a healthcare environment. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication and customer service skills, capable of handling stressful situations with confidence and composure. The ideal candidate will possess a background in security or healthcare, with a focus on patient safety and compassionate care.
Your day will involve a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining a safe and secure environment. This includes conducting regular foot and/or vehicle patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling access and egress, and composing detailed reports of incidents. You will also assist medical staff in high-intensity situations, perform patient safety screenings, and provide general customer service. A key aspect of your role is to de-escalate potentially volatile situations and ensure the well-being of everyone within the facility. You may also be required to assist with medical restraints and transport deceased patients to the morgue, always maintaining the highest level of professionalism and respect.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license (if required), being at least 18 years of age, having a minimum of 2 years of verifiable work history, passing a federal 10-panel drug test, and willingness to undergo TB bloodwork and vaccination compliance.
Responsibilities include maintaining a professional security presence, promoting patient safety, assisting medical staff in emergencies, conducting patient safety screenings, controlling access, writing incident reports, and assisting with medical restraints and patient transport.
