Day in the Life

A typical day for a Security Guard at this location involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining order and preventing incidents. Your duties may include:

• Conducting regular patrols of the hospital grounds, both on foot and in a vehicle, to identify and address any potential security concerns or safety hazards.
• Assisting hospital staff in de-escalating situations involving patients, using your training and skills to calmly and effectively manage conflicts.
• Restraining combative individuals when necessary, following company and customer guidelines to ensure the safety of all involved.
• Transporting patients to the morgue as needed, showing respect and professionalism in handling sensitive situations.
• Assisting in escorting patients from the helicopter pad to the emergency room, working quickly and efficiently to ensure their safe transfer.
• Responding to emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, and natural disasters, and assisting with evacuations as needed.
• Monitoring entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access and ensure that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or out.
• Observing departing personnel to deter theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted according to client requirements.
• Investigating and preparing reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, documenting your findings accurately and thoroughly.
• Maintaining written logs of your activities and observations, providing a clear and detailed record of events.
