Out-of-state candidates must have completed a Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) course accredited by the state from which they are transferring and have two years of full-time, sworn law enforcement experience. Most out-of-state applicants will have to go through an abbreviated BLET course within one year of being sworn.
Yes, as a condition of employment, you must successfully complete a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

You must submit to an SBI polygraph if you are still in a probationary status.
A current or honorably-discharged former military police officer seeking certification as a law enforcement officer can seek employment if certain conditions are met.

This is a part-time position with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM.
