Role Designation: Hybrid (work from office 3 /4 days a week)

Job description:


To support the short- and long-term strategic objectives, this role involves enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures, and collaborating with various teams to maintain data integrity to ensure it supports business objectives.

Responsibilities:

During your placement you will have the opportunity to:

  • Define and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to provide a comprehensive view of organizational data assets.

  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

  • Define and enforce data standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure data consistency and usability.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a student who is:

  • Currently in their 3rd or 4th year pursuing a Bachelor degree with a focus in Data Science

  • Analytical mindset, structured thinker and effective communicator.

  • Proficient in Excel and Visio.

  • Experience writing and documenting SQL code.

  • Experience working with Metadata, both defining and assessing quality.

  • An understanding of data practices (eg Metadata, Quality, Lineage, etc).

Bonus qualification:

  • Knowledge and experience with Data Catalog/Governance tools using Informatica (preferred), Alation, Collibra, Purview is a plus.

Compensation

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 45,000.00-55,000.00 annually. Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.
