Morning starts with safety-focused team standups and site walks to connect with your technicians. You'll spend time mentoring team members, reviewing operational metrics, and collaborating with facilities, engineering, and vendor teams to ensure smooth operations. Beyond routine activities, you'll tackle interesting technical challenges - from capacity planning to emergency response. You might find yourself brainstorming process improvements with your team, participating in cross-site initiatives, or working with stakeholders to implement new technologies. Each day offers unique opportunities to develop your people while maintaining world-class infrastructure operations.About the teamThe Infrastructure Operations team handles the various physical layers for AWS data centers, including the infrastructure and on-site operations. We are a team of professionals and engineers, actively working in positions ranging from the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of servers and network equipment, to facility operations, managing power and air-conditioning systems, to risk management, project management, security, logistics and inventory control. We are the team who keeps the data centers up and running 24/7, the backbone of AWS
