You will be expected to work closely with our team members to implement test designs and evaluations of new product launches, promotions, and a mix of media campaigns to understand the business impact across all sales channels.At Audible, you will have an opportunity to make the best of your skillsets to both develop advanced scientific solutions and drive critical customer and business impacts. We empower the cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning techniques in the many areas of the business.We translate business goals into agile, insightful analytics and seek to create value for both stakeholders and customers and convey findings in a clear, actionable way to managers and senior leaders.As a Data Scientist, you will...- Analyze customer data for segmentation, clustering, acquisition, retention, engagement, and recommendations- Perform content evaluation, apply natural language processing, analyze attributes and representations (in text, audio, cover art), generate content recommendations, and identify trends- Conduct product-related analyses including user click stream analysis, search engine optimization, and product recommendations- Evaluate marketing performance across earned, paid, and owned media evaluationABOUT AUDIBLEAudible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. Skills Required

  • - 1+ years of hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and/or statistical analysis techniquesintermediate

Required Qualifications

  • - Currently pursuing a MS/PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research, data science, economics, or another discipline involving experimental design and quantitative analysis of experimental data (degree in computer science)
  • - 1+ years of hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and/or statistical analysis techniques (experience, 1 years)
  • - Development experience with Python or equivalent scripting languages (experience)
  • - Experience in extracting data using SQL (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • - Exposure to software engineering environments (version control, command line) (experience)
  • - Machine Learning Pipeline orchestration with AWS (SageMaker, Batch, Lambda, Step Functions) or similar cloud-platforms (experience)
  • - Experience with causal inference methodologies for quasi-experimental settings (Synthetic Control, Difference-in-Difference, Regression Discontinuity, Propensity weighting) (experience)
  • - Experience in forecasting methodologies (experience)
  • - Ability to tackle very loosely defined problems and consistently deliver elegant, modular and scalable solutions in a timely manner (experience)
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $97,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
