We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.We are seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to serve as a technical resource and leader for our European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) team in the Berlin area. The Data Center Facility Manager is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. The Data Center Facility Manager is crucial in maintaining high reliability and performance while also prioritizing safety. They will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment to achieve 99.999% uptime or better. Infrastructure under their management includes standby diesel generators and related fuel systems, electrical systems such as switchgear, UPS units, PDUs, batteries and associated systems. Mechanical equipment includes CRAC units and cooling systems. The role is also responsible for other building systems such as fire suppression systems, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.Key job responsibilities• Drive a safety centric culture and ensure a safe workplace for builders and visitors to our sites.• Oversee the performance of the data center's critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed is completed to the highest quality and without impact to customers.• Leading a team of 24x7 engineering technicians with an emphasis on career growth.• Driving improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion.• Coordinate daily with third-party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLA’s.• Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures• Routinely operate as the after-hours on-call Data Center Facility Manager for their data centers in the region.
