Job Description
Amazon's Material Handling Engineering team is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a startup-style R&D team focused on defining and delivering the next generation of material handling equipment across our global distribution network. You will oversee mechanical, electrical and controls engineering, managing a team responsible for standardizing product specifications, assessing OEM capabilities, and when needed, leading the design, testing, and commercialization of Amazon-focused solutions.As Sr. Manager, you will be a key leader for fast-moving, large, complex material handling systems. You will independently manage a team proficient in communicating effectively to a wide audience including other engineers, external vendors, customer organizations, and business leaders. - Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
