You’ll be the leading technical voice defining the layout of warehousing facilities, ensuring layouts are fit for future scaling as well as optimized around minimum material movement. You will serve as a key orchestrator connecting operations, engineering, and logistical functions to ensure solutions reduce waste, improve yield, and have the practical result of more reliable, cost effective, operational processes.You will leverage your expertise in industrial engineering and operational research to lead data collection, analysis, and modeling activities for key site level requirements like material flow optimization, labor and capacity planning, end-to-end cycle time assessments, etc. You will leverage a deep understanding of fulfillment/warehousing processes, material flow, and automation technologies to drive efficiencies at scale. You’ll be a champion for lean principles and continuous improvement projects, raising the bar on the quality of solutions presented to the operations group.Key job responsibilities- Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, and site layout.- Evaluate and implement material handling and storage solutions using technology, robotics, and automation to meet flow requirements.- Develop engineering and simulation models as required to solve complex problems.- Perform process capability analysis, time studies, line balancing, and analysis associated with labor, capacity, cycle times, and capex/ROI requirements for operational process improvements.- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.- Collaborate with operations and technology teams to define voice of the customer, develop business requirements, and develop product features that optimize warehouse performance.- Analyze KPIs and collaborate on the development of continuous improvement and technology roadmap, ensuring best effort/impact projects are selected for the business.

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
