The Loss Prevention Site Lead (LPSL) is a key leadership position within the Amazon Security and Loss Prevention (S&LP) team. The LPSL leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection (people, product and data). The LPSL reports to the S&LP leader responsible for their area and supports our business operations across the end-to-end supply chain. This position may have direct reports.Key job responsibilities* Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards* Actively monitor and report outcome for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities* Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of Theft, Fraud, and Workplace Violence/Critical Incidents* Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancement and increase efficiency. * Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert for site leadership keeping them informed on key issues, strategies and the department’s performance* Identify, promote and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers in evaluating current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives* Incident response planning, facilitating and management * Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time and manage direct reports if applicable. Work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day and ability to lift up to 20 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. This role covers 24/7 operations and must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.A day in the lifeAs a Loss Prevention Site Lead, you will join a team of Security and Loss Prevention professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area. You perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events. During your investigations, you collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews. Your findings contribute to identifying vulnerabilities in our processes and you identify and drive mitigating measures. You play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of our systems and, jointly with subject matter experts and external suppliers, maintain their functionality. Furthermore, you identify and act upon initiatives improving our physical security infrastructure and contribute directly to the budgetary planning for our external suppliers. You interact on a daily basis with our external security service providers to ensure delivery of high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience.   • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $95,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
