Job Description
AWS is seeking a talented and experienced Principal Data Scientist to join our Consumer Experience team. This is a key technical leadership role and we are seeking someone who is passionate about working on large-scale data challenges and driving innovation in ML/AI data science practice at scale that solves real-world customer issues. Reporting to the Director of Research and Analytics, this role is critical to ensuring strong analytical capabilities in AWS through the leveraging of emerging technologies, building best practices in data science, and collaborating with key stakeholders to support a deep understanding of the AWS experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in complex data and analytics environments at scale, driving solutions to develop better data science practices, preferably within cloud computing environments. Experience with Machine Learning and other advanced analytics techniques is a must and you also need to be able to talk about these technical concepts in plain terms. Required Qualifications
- - Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Computer Science or a related field (degree in data science)
Preferred Qualifications
- - * 8+ years of experience in data science roles with statistical data analysis/ modelling, and managing analytical projects end-to-end. (experience, 8 years)
- - * 5+ years of experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning. (experience, 5 years)
- Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $294,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
