Amazon seeks a Principal Finance Manager to partner with a Special Projects team that takes the company’s Think Big leadership principle to the max, with no industries or subject areas out of bounds. You will play a key role among innovators, entrepreneurs, builders, and dreamers that are creating entirely new products and services with a goal of positively impacting the lives of our customers. If you’re interested in helping Amazon break new ground and address grand challenges in the world, this is the role for you.As Principal Finance Manager, you will work independently and cross-functionally to drive finance support and deliver results in a rapidly evolving, start-up environment. Many assignments will be ambiguous and require a highly insightful, intellectually curious leader with good judgement who can assess situations through multiple lenses including the customer, business owner, and financial investor. The successful candidate will be strategic in thinking, analytical in approach, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and influence decisions through strong interpersonal and communication skills, financial analyses, and the creation of alternatives. This role requires regular interaction with senior business and finance leaders as well as other teams across Amazon.Key job responsibilities- Provide strategic guidance and feedback on new business proposals including monetization strategy, product roadmap, pricing, resourcing and other investments- Deliver financial analyses, insights, recommendations, and solutions to support program funding decisions - Construct long-range financial models across multiple dimensions (various P&L line items and business model components; by region, product, etc.)- Collaborate with internal business leads and other Amazon teams to develop financial inputs and evaluate financial outputs

  • - Experience delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on the business (e.g., revenue growth, cost savings, customer benefits) (experience)
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
