Job Description

The Principal PM for the VP, WWGS Store Operations operates as Chief of Staff. It is a highly visible role which serves as a business liaison, program leader and consultant on various business topics across programs within the WWGS Store organization. The Principal PM is responsible for enabling the VP and his team run the business more effectively by building and managing appropriate mechanisms. The candidate for this position possesses deep knowledge and expertise in certain business fields, and is further expected to develop a broad understanding of businesses across the WWGS Store Org and central product and tech organizations to influence partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiatives, leads by example and operates effectively.The org spans multiple timezones and requires redefining the regular working hours to enable engagement across all/most teams.Key job responsibilities- Provide an independent perspective and act as a sounding board for ideas.- Help VP prioritize a wide array of commitments and business needs by acting as the VP’s eyes and ears on ground and working closely with business stakeholders.- Build mechanisms that will improve Org effectiveness and engagement - both self-serve mechanisms and engagement mechanisms.- Ensure strong follow-up management on action items and questions.- Consultant on Social, PR, Internal Comms teams for the various representation activities.- Act as consultant to various internal teams or projects. Support teams needing help thinking through problems (both business and communications).- Develop mechanisms to drive best practice sharing across programs.- Corporate development and Corporate Rep meetings.- Work with Ops Leadership to grow AI in-store initiative implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • - Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality (experience)
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
