Job Description

We are the BOLT team: Builder Onboarding & Lifecycle Tools, part of the Developer Tools organization inside AWS.Our mission is to increase AWS adoption with well-integrated tools to build and operate on AWS, accelerating developer productivity by removing friction and streamlining the development experience across the SDLC.Our vision is to make AWS the Cloud of choice for customers because it integrates well with their existing SDLC solutions and they are the most productive when building and running applications on AWS. Our portfolio creates a smooth and integrated SDLC experience for developers of all skills — whether they are a mature enterprise that’s all-in on AWS or just getting started on their Cloud journey. Our products effortlessly bridge the AWS ecosystem with customers’ workflows to eliminate the friction of working with and in AWS.We are seeking a seasoned technical product manager to own the technical roadmap for a variety of product solutions associated with AWS CloudShell, AWS Cloud9 and more.BOLT Team is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC) which provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.Key job responsibilitiesIn this role, you will partner with strong technical leaders to drive the long-term vision through development of vision documents, definition of business requirements, launch and post-launch measurement. You will also serve as a key player with partner teams across the company, working to align interests and implement scalable solutions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.The right candidate will possess a strong product management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a PM-T, you will lead high-impact projects, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.A day in the lifeWorking closely with the CodeSuite teams, aligning the roadmap and meeting customers to validate their needs and product requirements.
