This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, and ability to innovate in a constrained design space. Excellent communication skills are a must to build trust and drive alignment across both design and operations spaces. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and operational functions across all Prime Air teams, to drive efficient delivery, and decompose ambiguous problems into straightforward solutions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer focus, problem solving skills, regulatory understanding, and the ability to convert lessons learned to requirement update requests. You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!Key job responsibilities- Strong background in computer vision, sensor fusion, or machine learning applications- Drive the delivery of critical engineering feedback and design improvements for Prime Air drones and support systems across teams through requirement tracking, design, development and test.- Own and drive triage of issues that occur in the field- Partner with quality and design engineering teams to close feedback loops- Engage with customer teams to understand opportunities for process improvement, and drive changes- Work with other engineers to find innovative solutions within fixed design spaceExport Control LicenseThis position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
