Amazon's Translation Services team is responsible for providing translation tools and solutions to support the localization and translation needs of all Amazon businesses. At Translation Services Operations, we partner with other internal Amazonian teams to translate and deliver content for users of Amazon’s tools and services around the world. We obsess over finding the optimal balance between quality, speed, and cost for customers we serve.We are looking for a program manager experienced in project management and implementing end-to-end process optimizations to lead process mapping efforts and drive process improvement initiatives across our operations. In this role, you will partner closely with other operational teams, subject matter experts, and senior leadership to drive data-driven continuous improvement and standardization efforts. You will be responsible for creating end-to-end process maps, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strategic, analytical, and collaborative mindset to deliver measurable results that enhance the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our localization services. You will also require a self-starter mindset and an ability to deal with ambiguity through the process of identifying and implementing improvements for the team.Key job responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive process mappings to document, analyze, and identify opportunities to streamline current workflows across Translation Services Operations- Develop a scalable process management framework, including standardized operating procedures, KPIs, and governance mechanisms- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing Kaizen, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to drive sustainable enhancements- Facilitate process improvement workshops and training to build a culture of continuous optimization- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand pain points, prioritize initiatives, and secure buy-in for new processes- Utilize data analysis and visualization to measure the impact of process changes and inform future improvements- Ensure process improvement projects are properly scoped, resourced, and executed to deliver on time- Communicate progress and outcomes effectively to senior leadership, making recommendations to further align processes with strategic goalsA day in the lifeA typical day for our Process Improvement/PMO Specialist may include leading a cross-functional workshop to map the end-to-end content classification process, analyzing productivity data to identify bottlenecks, presenting findings and proposed solutions to the Translation Services leadership team, and collaborating with the PMO to develop the project plan for a new machine translation post-editing workflow. You'll balance time between hands-on process work, stakeholder management, and leading continuous improvement efforts to transform our global localization operations.About the teamThe Translation Services Operations team is responsible for providing translation tools, resources, and services to support the localization needs of Amazon businesses worldwide.
