Imagine your future with us.ABOUT THIS ROLEIn this key role, you will be at the forefront of shaping and advancing our Data Engineering solutions, primarily through the enhancement of our existing data platform. Additionally, you will collaborate with various elements of our global data ecosystem. Working closely with Global Analytics business stakeholders, your duties will encompass data integration, data modeling, execution of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and the implementation of flexible data solutions. These solutions will be meticulously designed with a strong emphasis on data quality, adhering to the best practices in data warehousing. These efforts are crucial for the success of our data-driven initiatives.ABOUT YOUYou are a highly skilled programming specialist who will be actively involved in the design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, evaluation, support, and enhancement of data engineering solutions. You will leverage existing system architectures to expand the capabilities of these applications, with a strong focus on optimizing data pipelines. This will result in more efficient and streamlined data processes, ultimately empowering end users to excel in their tasks with increased effectiveness and efficiency.As a Programmer Analyst, you will...- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess source systems, identify foundational data sources, determine transformation needs, create appropriate data models, and document the design and specifications- Develop systems and datasets by applying software engineering best practices, fundamental data management principles, contemporary distributed systems- Create, maintain, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into data storage systems- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines, databases, and related systems- Demonstrate passion for quality and productivity by use of efficient development techniques, standards and guidelines- Produce technical documentation to support data delivery developmentABOUT AUDIBLEAudible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. Skills Required

  • - 1+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse (DWH) environment and experience with Data integration/ETL of large and complex data setsintermediate

Required Qualifications

  • - Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or equivalent (degree in higher in computer science or equivalent)
  • - 1+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse (DWH) environment and experience with Data integration/ETL of large and complex data sets (experience, 1 years)

Preferred Qualifications

  • - Expertise in performance tuning and scaling of BI systems (experience)
  • - Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as AWS Redshift and expertise in performance tuning and scaling in a DWH environment (experience)

  • - Interpersonal and communication skills (experience)
  • - Ability to work with different teams for sourcing of data (experience)
  • - Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Python) (experience)

  • - Ability to learn fast, work independently with little supervision and deliver on time quality products (experience)

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $159,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
