This individual will manage the relationship with one or more of AWS’s most strategic server development and manufacturing partners. As the commercial head of this relationship, you own cost, performance, contracting and strategy. You will influence and partner with cross functional teams including hardware engineering, supply chain, quality, lifecycle management, operations, compliance and sustainability.A successful candidate will combine a strong knowledge of supply chains with a proven ability to manage complex negotiations, program manage cross-functional teams and effectively operate at all levels of the organization, including to senior executives.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key job responsibilities- Function as the single threaded relationship manager for a strategic supply partner that provides design, development, manufacturing and integration services for AWS servers and server rack integration.- Matrix manage all aspects of supplier performance including cost, quality, capacity, delivery, compliance, sustainability and overall supply strategy.- Negotiate and execute complex supplier agreements, statements of work and other contracts by working with cross-functional leads.- Partner with cross functional teams to deliver RFPs, evaluate vendor responses and align on business awards.- Deliver AWS’s cost objectives through detailed understanding of all cost drivers and bill of material reviews.- Develop and successfully negotiate sourcing strategies that align with business objectives while maintaining a sustainable relationship with suppliers.- Inform and influence senior leadership about business status, risk and opportunities via written narratives.- Manage vendor escalations and provide executive level updates as required. - Prepare and present detailed data-driven business reviews with senior management, focused on procurement/sourcing execution and continuity of supply.- Identify key technology trends in the industry and drive supplier product roadmaps that align with AWS’s technical development and manufacturing initiatives.Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.   • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
