Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.Amazon seeks a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to join the Antenna Team. As an RF engineer you will develop requirements, review designs and build test capability for WiFi, GNSS and Bluetooth subsystems. In this role you will influence decision makers on the process, procedures and necessary tests required to achieve optimized RF designs. You will execute tests and provide leadership for other engineers and technicians during test campaigns.Key job responsibilities- Perform link budget analysis, select appropriate RF ICs and passive components, review and optimize PCB schematics and layouts- Use specialized test equipment to validate RF performance from the sub-component to the system level- Validate RF performance and troubleshoot RF issues from the sub-component to the system level- Collaborate with verification and validation engineers to create test plans that thoroughly validate designs and efficiently address system integration challenges- Work cross-functionally with other engineers to meet challenging form factor and industrial design requirements while preventing unintentional radiators from negatively impacting RF receiver sensitivity- Collaborate with manufacturing test and operations teams to review RF test fixture design and setup so that device RF performance can be tested efficiently to the correct specifications at the factoryExport Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • - At least five full product development cycles leading to the successful launch of a consumer product (experience)
  • - Strong written and verbal communication skills (experience)
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
