Job Description

Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail oriented (Sr) Supply Chain Manager to support supply chain innovation and optimization of automation technologies across our Last Mile delivery operation. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, contract manufacturing, change management, and system supplier and/or technology sourcing. The Senior Supply Chain Manager must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. They also must be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. This role is crucial in optimizing our processes, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of packages to our customers while maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement in our automation initiatives.Key job responsibilitiesManaging overall supplier relationships including supplier performance, capability, capacity planning, contracting, risk mitigation, cost and quality improvements.Collaborating with technical operations, engineering, and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements ensuring sourcing strategies meet the technical capabilities, cost, and business objectives.Drive suppliers’ continuous improvement and value engineering in support of program’s performance metrics: quality, delivery, capacity, cost and safety.Monitor suppliers’ supply chain, manufacturing, human capital with respect to overall program objectives.Development and execution of global commodity strategies that align business requirements with supplier capabilities.Develop alternate sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
