Job Description

Amazon Air (AIR) is seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated Sr. Business Development Manager to join the EU Air Cargo team. The Business Development manager finds and executes value-creation opportunities and manages relationships across the entire lifecycle of the business. As trusted advisors, this Business Development Manager (BDM) will work at a programmatic level; influence their business planning and strategy; and look around corners to identify obstacles and recommend solutions, ensuring owners make effective business decisions and are setup for success.Our BDMs are leaders and collaborators. They are analytical and creative; deadline-driven, organized and able to multi-task; and have strong interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to earn trust, inspire others, and be empathetic. You’ll be at the center of cross-functional teams, all working together to deliver the highest quality experience to Amazon customers (external and internal).Key job responsibilities- Develop and maintain client relationships, negotiate sales contract and drive revenue based org goals.- Serving as a key contributor on the Cargo Management team, defining and delivering initiatives that expand the Air Cargo program.- Managing working-level relationships across the organization.- Coordinating Business and Financial Health Reviews to discuss business performance and new opportunities, as well as provide benchmarking data and insights.- Uses expertise and judgment to select stakeholders to determine the right goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions.- Communicating goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and deliver programs.- Managing and coordinating multiple project assignments that continuously improve customers’ experience and developing best in class air cargo capabilities.- Addressing barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholders.- Working within time constraints to meet business critical needs (often managing multiple, time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously).- Systematically escalating problems or variances in the operating plan to the relevant owners and teams, following through to resolution to ensure they are delivered- Preparing and delivering business reviews to senior leadership updating on progress and roadblocksAbout the team
