The AWS Cross Domain Services team is seeking a Systems Development Engineer who is passionate about operational excellence. This engineer will help to operate and scale the services that connect AWS regions of differing security requirements.An Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) is a collection of AWS regions provided for a customer with specific security requirements. The AWS Cross Domain Services team provides solutions for customers to move data between regions with differing security requirements. We are obsessed with earning and maintaining customer trust. AWS is building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world and the AWS Cross Domain Services team is essential to AWS’s dedicated cloud expansion. - - 4+ years of experience with the designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems to include software development, operations, automation, and process improvement (experience, 4 years)
- - Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- - 5+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience (experience, 5 years)
- - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations (certification)
- - Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers (experience)
- - Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production (experience)
- Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
