The breadth of responsibilities will range from developing and executing short and long-range capital plans, to troubleshooting technical system issues during operations and maintenance.The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in their field, and possess a Mechanical, HVAC or BMS background, coupled with an understanding of project/construction management. This position will require proficiency in refrigeration equipment and the principles of airflow distribution and understanding of common HVAC sequence of operations strategies. - Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Responsibilities
- • Evaluate emerging HVAC technologies and vendors for applications such as advanced heat pumps, geothermal systems, advanced air filtration, dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS), evaporative cooling, and data-driven preventive maintenance strategies applicable to Amazon facilities.
- • Lead multiple development projects that integrate sustainable HVAC technologies from concept through execution—including business case development, stakeholder alignment, vendor selection, technical scoping, permitting, design, construction, commissioning, and launch.
- • Identify and drive continuous improvement in HVAC and mechanical systems to increase energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance performance.
- • Develop and own the roadmap for enhancing efficiency, improving life/durability and reducing total cost of ownership for sustainable HVAC systems.
- • Create, collect and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and progress reports.
- • Collaborate with various suppliers, contractors, consultants, certification agencies and construction managers to deliver solutions at Amazon buildings.
- • Establish and track KPIs for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on performance of HVAC systems and suppliers to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- • Evaluate the latest sustainable technologies and industry trends and identify opportunities for implementation

- • Identify and drive improvements in the BMS, HVAC and mechanical systems to increase energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance performance.
