Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description
Be the primary quality representative for supplier quality activitiesPerform First Article Inspections (FAI) to make sure samples comply with drawings and specifications prior to production start or after any changesOwn implementation, validation and continuous monitoring of supplier’s IQC, IPQC and OQC to ensure proper process FMEA, quality control plans, SOPs, SIPs, operator/inspector training, equipment and documentation are implemented and followedDetermine strategies for continuous improvement in supplier quality and supply chain metrics.Manage supplier's corrective actions system (investigation, documentation and implementation of corrective action and the verification of their effectiveness)Conduct supplier audits including new supplier selection and regular process/product audits to existing suppliers, and effectively drive findings closures by proposing and implementing necessary CAPACoordinate and manage cosmetic waivers and limit sample selections and allocations for all involved partiesTake lead process capability assessment, measurement system analysis, MSOP & correlation and SPC implementations at supplier siteInitialize the review and approval for supplier PPAPContribute to final product release activities in accordance with established procedures, production schedules and gate exit requirementsDevelop and prepare documentation, post reports, drive quality metrics and communicationDrive respective teams responsible for issues until a decision or solution is reachedTrack issue and task progresses in JIRA and understand BOM components, layout and drawings with a PLM system (i.e. Arena, Agile, etc.)

Required Qualifications
- - BS/MS degree in Quality/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (degree in quality)
- - 5+ years of experience in mechanical parts (plastic injection molding/die-casting/stamping/machining), packaging, and AC power supplies. (experience, 5 years)
- - 5+ years of experience in all levels of quality management and lean manufacturing in mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic supplier manufacturing industries (experience, 5 years)
- - Experience in managing outsourced manufacturing suppliers (experience)
- - Experience with industry standards (IEC, UL, ASTM, ANSI, TUV, ISO, IPC, MIL, etc.) (experience)
- - In-depth understanding and implementation experiences in APQP, FMEA, SPC & Process capability, MSA, PPAP, DOE, data analysis, hypothesis testing etc. (experience)
- - Excellent English communication skills and interactions with suppliers and customers, both written and verbal (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- - Ability & willingness to travel as required for up to 50% (experience)
- - Certified QMS lead auditor (certification)
- - Certified CQE (certification)
- - Certified CSSGB or CSSBB (certification)
- - Solid experience in SMT, DIP, FATP, FPC/FPCA and surface treatment process (experience)
- - Effective document/procedure writing, presentation and project management skills (experience)
