The Corporate Infrastructure Services team supports Amazon’s business through the deployment of solutions and infrastructure driven by AWS technology. We have a worldwide focus on the sustainable and effective launch, adoption and utilization of Amazon’s technologies / systems for our Corporate, AWS and Customer Services customer base. The team is looking for a System Development Engineer to help in our mission to develop and support our services in the most efficient and sustainable way possible. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for working on behalf of the customers and can operate independently, autonomously, and able to manage ambiguity. In addition to the technical skills, maturity, judgment, communication skills, negotiation skills and influencing skills are all essential as you interact with cross functional teams worldwide. A successful team member will be skilled at anticipating bottlenecks, balancing business needs with technical constraints, and taking calculated risks to maximize value. Your solutions are pragmatic, efficient, and cost-effective. You make appropriate trade-offs and re-use or extend prior work where possible. You thoroughly test your work. You consistently write clear, accurate, and concise documentation and improve your team’s existing documentation. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of AWS technologies and networking background as well as broad experience in compute.
