You will support reviews of ground tests and flight operations, while developing the knowledge and experience to support mission operations in real time. You will also help stand-up processes enabling the autonomous and scalable identification of trends or anomalies in telemetry from flight & ground tests.Key job responsibilities- Verify system operation & performance in flight, test, and emulated test venues- Develop rational and define design & test requirements derived from high-level system requirements- Identify, document, and address gaps in test coverage and requirements- Support data reviews of ground tests and flight operations: confirm nominal operation, identify and investigate anomalies- Develop or implement tools and processes to support autonomous and scalable identification of anomalies in test/flight data.- Write, run, and review hardware-in-the-loop tests against system concept of operations (CONOPs) and requirements- Support writing, reviewing, and maintaining design and test artifacts for the production propulsion system. This includes software interfaces, high-level software requirements, and propulsion system requirements.- Support systems engineering efforts within the Propulsion Design team, and with critical stakeholders (e.g. software, avionics, thermal, GNC)- Support on-orbit operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • - Experience applying of systems engineering artifacts (e.g. design requirements, failure modes and effects analysis) in the HW & SW development lifecycle - including development, test, production, and operations (experience)
  • - Design, test, integration, and/or operation of satellite propulsion systems (experience)
  • - Familiarity with interdependencies between satellite propulsion systems and other high-level vehicle systems (e.g. power, attitude control, thermal) (experience)
  • - Familiarity with the basic sub-systems comprising a satellite electric propulsion system, including tradeoffs between simplicity, reliability, and performance (experience)
  • - Experience defining and implementing a system's concept of operations (CONOPs) (experience)
  • - Proficient applying Python for analysis or simulation (or similar, e.g. MATLAB) (experience)
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
