Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Direct Tax Reporting team in Hyderabad, India. This role supports the Worldwide CapEx team with the reporting of US income tax consequences for Amazon’s unparalleled global portfolio of assets. The role focuses on Leasing and covers real estate and equipment assets, lessee and lessor operations, and all lifecycle events for both operating and finance leases.A successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, great attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment. Experience automating the organization of vast amounts of data into useful information is essential.Key job responsibilities• Assist in preparation of Amazon’s US income tax provision, forecast, and tax returns as it relates to leasing transactions by analyzing US GAAP reporting, determining book-tax differences, preparing workpapers and technical memorandums, and performing tax law research • Complete deferred tax reconciliations for leased assets; identify drivers of basis differences• Identify and implement process improvements which increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of data• Develop analyses, metrics, and narratives to be communicated to tax management, external auditors, and other stakeholders within and outside tax • Coordinate information requests with business partners to ensure accurate and timely inclusion within various tax reporting deliverables• Participate in special projects as assigned
