Job Description
Role Overview:
What you will do
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure that privacy policies, data handling standards, and control mechanisms published by CDT and Data Privacy teams are consistently applied across all data platforms and hubs.
- Governance Frameworks: Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, and classification models.
- Compliance Monitoring: Collaborate with platform teams to monitor compliance with internal and external data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Data Quality & Integrity: Work with data stewards and custodians to ensure data quality, lineage, and integrity across systems.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Security, Engineering, and Analytics to align governance practices with business needs.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of governance processes and generate regular reports on policy enforcement and compliance metrics.
- Training & Awareness: Promote data governance awareness and provide training to relevant stakeholders on privacy controls and best practices.
What we expect of you
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8-13 years of experience in data governance, data privacy, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and industry standards.
- Experience with data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS, GCP) and governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Must-Have Skills
- Certifications such as CDMP, CIPP, or equivalent.
- Experience in implementing data governance in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with metadata management and data cataloging tools.
- Experience in life sciences or healthcare is a plus
