What you will do
- Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more of Amgen’s Process Development Product Teams, driving agile delivery of digital solutions that advance molecule selection processes
- Enable impactful, cross-functional teams by facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting agile best practices
- Advance digital capabilities across Process Development and Manufacturing
- Demonstrate state-of-the-art technologies, including Generative AI and Machine Learning
- Ensure the seamless flow of instrument data across operational business processes and applications enabling a unified data platform for robust, consistent, standardized data and analytics across the Amgen network
- Streamline the experience for Lab Scientists, Production Operators, Floor management, and Quality Assurance fostering Best-In-Class Process Innovation
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Work closely with Product Owners and team members to deliver prioritized backlog items with quality and predictability
- Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and promoting continuous improvement
- Track and handle sprint metrics, burn-down charts, and team velocity for improved clarity
- Promote agile values and team collaboration to develop a culture of innovation and delivery perfection
- Partner with Release Train Engineers and other Scrum Masters to coordinate cross-team dependencies and PI planning activities
- Ensure adherence to Amgen’s agile delivery and compliance frameworks
- Coach the team on Agile/SAFe principles and further adoption across the broader organization
What we expect of you
- Doctorate degree / Master's degree / Bachelor's degree and 8 to 13 years of experience in Infrastructure/IT or related field
- Experience as a Scrum Master supporting product teams in a technology environment
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and tools (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence)
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant leadership skills
- Experience with Tableau, Spotfire or similar tools for dynamic visualizations and metrics for tracking users, instruments and site data
- 5 – 8 years of domain knowledge in health and/or life sciences combined with Information Technology (Preferred)
- Good overall understanding of business, manufacturing, and laboratory systems common in the process development and manufacturing labs, as well as the integration of these systems through applicable standards (Preferred)
- Experience working with introducing Agile for new Product Teams that may not always include Software Development (Preferred)
- Depth or breadth of expertise with offerings within the Lab Instruments and Lab Information Systems (Preferred)
- Understanding of FDA regulations governing computer system validation and operation in biotech manufacturing and laboratory areas (Preferred)
- Strong analytic/critical-thinking and decision-making abilities (Preferred)
- Established business partnerships and IS governance practices involving senior business partners (Preferred)
- Experience in quality assurance and change control processes (Preferred)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or similar Agile certification (Preferred)
