What you will do

  • Lead and develop a team of cloud engineers and SREs, ensuring dedication and career growth
  • Define and implement the cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead all aspects of and be hands-on with the design, deployment, and management of AWS-based Amgen cloud platform
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of cloud services through automation and standard methodologies
  • Implement cost optimization strategies and handle cloud budgets effectively
  • Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines using the GitOps methodology
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve resiliency
  • Develop and carry out observability and monitoring strategies across Amgen cloud platform
  • Ensure cloud environments are aligned with industry standards
  • Work closely with security teams to carry out IAM, encryption, and compliance standard methodologies
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to define cloud requirements
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to ensure optimal service delivery

What we expect of you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • 10-15 years of experience in Project Management, with at least 8 years in AWS Cloud
  • Proven experience in handling cloud-based teams and operations at scale
