Job Description

The Specialist IS Engineer – SharePoint (Level 5) will serve as a senior developer (SME) and technical expert within the Amgen India, Global Medical Technology team, focusing on delivering scalable, secure, and innovative solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI). This role emphasizes hands-on development, architecture, and complex solution delivery rather than management duties. The engineer will collaborate with global stakeholders across business and Medical functions to design solutions that meet compliance, governance, and performance standards, while ensuring seamless user experience.

What you will do

  • Lead design and implementation of complex SharePoint solutions (sites, libraries, custom applications, workflows, integrations)
  • Architect and develop enterprise-grade solutions using SPFx, CSOM/JSOM, REST APIs, and modern frameworks
  • Build advanced Power Automate workflows and Power Apps to support regulated document management, Medical workflows, and enterprise collaboration
  • Develop interactive Power BI dashboards with complex data modeling, enabling data-driven decision making for Medical and cross-functional leadership
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance optimization, and solution scalability reviews
  • Integrate SharePoint with Azure services, external APIs, Dataverse, and enterprise platforms
  • Provide technical leadership in architecture discussions, design reviews, and governance forums
  • Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to support agile delivery
  • Ensure strict adherence to security, compliance, and data privacy standards in regulated business contexts
  • Author technical documentation, solution design guides, and reusable frameworks for development teams

What we expect of you

  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • 8 - 13 years of related professional experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline with 8+ years of experience
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certifications in SharePoint, Power Platform, or Azure
  • Preferred: Experience in regulated industry environments (pharma, biotech, healthcare)

Must-Have Skills

  • 8 - 13 years of IT experience, including 6+ years of SharePoint development in enterprise environments
  • Deep expertise in SharePoint Online and On-Premises administration and development
  • Strong knowledge of SPFx, CSOM, JSOM, REST APIs, C#, .NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Proven experience building enterprise-level Power Automate workflows, Power Apps, and Power BI dashboards
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Key Vault, API Management)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, compliance, and security frameworks
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and solution optimization
  • Ability to work across global, cross-functional teams in regulated industries
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both IT and business audiences
  • Preferred: Experience with large-scale SharePoint migrations (on-premises to cloud, tenant-to-tenant)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with pharmaceutical/biotech or Medical Affairs functions, including compliance-heavy workflows
  • Preferred: Experience with DevOps pipelines, automated deployments, Git/TFS, and Agile methodologies
  • Preferred: Contribution to architecture standards, reusable components, and frameworks
