What you will do

  • Develop software to transform and visualize omics (genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics) data using programming languages such as Python, Java, R
  • Develop data processing pipelines for large datasets in the cloud (e.g. Nextflow); integrate with other data sources where applicable
  • Collaborate with the other engineering team members to ensure all services are reliable, maintainable, and well-integrated into existing platforms
  • Adhere to best practices for testing and designing reusable code

What we expect of you

  • Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of experience in Software Development, IT, or related field
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in Software Development, IT, or related field
  • OR Diploma and 7 to 9 years of experience in Software Development, IT, or related field
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in biopharma or life sciences
  • Preferred: Work experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

Must-Have Skills

  • Proficiency in code development (e.g. Python, R, Java)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Experience in RESTFul API development e.g. Flask, MuleSoft
  • Experience in pipeline development using Python, Nextflow, etc
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure
  • Experience with Application development (Django, RShiny, Plotly Dash, etc)
  • Experience using and adopting Agile Framework
  • Strong learning agility
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
  • Team-oriented with a focus on achieving team goals
