Role Overview

As an Analyst, Transportation, you will support the efficient movement of materials and products across Cardinal Health's supply chain. This full-time position involves analyzing shipments, leveraging Transportation Management Systems (TMS) like MercuryGate, and collaborating with carriers to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries. Ideal for professionals with BPO or customer service backgrounds, the role demands analytical prowess, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. You'll work under direct supervision on routine tasks while developing expertise in U.S. logistics and healthcare transportation.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will focus on operational excellence in freight management:

• Conduct analysis, scheduling, and planning for inbound and outbound shipments to guarantee on-time pickups and deliveries using economical carrier options.
• Rate transactions via TMS or pricing tools to select optimal carriers based on service parameters.
• Apply routing expertise and carrier knowledge to resolve customer issues, overcome logistics challenges, and exceed expectations.
• Proactively monitor in-process shipments to identify and resolve potential service disruptions.
• Interface with customers, shippers, and carriers to address scheduling, dispatching, and specialty service needs like LTL, truckload, time-critical, white glove, and international shipments.
• Provide quotes for large freight and assist with solutions for lost freight, document requests, and proactive tracking.
• Collaborate on process improvements and perform data management in systems like SAP, Salesforce, and TMS.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates should demonstrate:

• BA/BS degree preferred, with at least 3 years in BPO or customer service (including 1 year in current role).
• Preferred experience in U.S. geography, logistics, or TMS like MercuryGate.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in analysis, problem-solving, critical thinking, verbal/written communication, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Proven ability to follow SOPs, multitask across systems, work collaboratively, and thrive in fast-paced settings.
• For internal candidates: Open to B3 (promotion), B4 & P1 (lateral) meeting IJP requirements.
