Role Overview

The APAC and India Sustainability Strategy Manager role in Klongtoey, Bangkok, is pivotal in shaping PepsiCo's sustainability agenda across the region. This position focuses on defining, streamlining, and evolving overall strategy and transformation plans aligned with pep+ goals. You will provide governance to cross-functional teams, embed sustainability into business processes, and drive holistic execution across foods and beverages portfolios, including company-owned and franchise businesses. Key Responsibilities

In this strategic role, you will:

  • Drive overall governance across region and OU Office of Sustainability teams, cross-functional task forces with regular cadences, progress tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Provide thought leadership to sustainability and business partners, including the Executive Committee, on critical topics like environmental impacts and policy landscapes.
  • Manage and influence cross-functional teams to develop, advocate, and accelerate implementation of sustainability goals.
  • Design long-term (5-10 years) PepsiCo Positive roadmaps and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) exercises, ensuring consistency across pillars.
  • Analyze external trends on environmental issues, consumer behaviors, competitive landscapes, and geopolitical factors to inform strategic plans.
  • Partner with pillar leads for capacity building, including recruiting, training, and knowledge management.
  • Lead internal and external engagements, such as townhalls, events, and franchise conferences, while owning executive-ready deliverables.
  • Foster connections with the global Sustainability Office for aligned execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced graduate degree strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of overall experience, with preference for strategy consulting or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors.
  • Deep knowledge and interest in PepsiCo's sustainability goals, including technical aspects of food and beverage environmental impacts and solutions.
  • Proven matrix management skills to network, collaborate, and influence diverse stakeholders across cultures.
  • Strong strategic thinking, clear communication, analytical abilities, change management, and project management experience.
  • Mature influencing, negotiating, and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity and independence.
  • Demonstrated leadership to challenge the status quo and gain credibility with senior executives.
