In the Wireless Software group, you’ll be responsible for bringing groundbreaking wireless connectivity to the world through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. You’ll design, develop, and patent the next generation of our state-of-the art connectivity technologies. You’ll collaborate across departments to help craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services. Our goal is to ensure nothing stands in the way of our customers’ connections with their devices. We're a passionate and key team that helps drive design, develop and integrate cellular chipsets in Apple products. You will join a hands-on development team that nurtures creativity and generates novel solutions to deliver engineering precision. As part of a world class modem team, you’ll craft sophisticated Virtual Platform/HW simulations of 4g/5g cellular layer 1 subsystem. You’ll work across teams to simulate Layer1 functionality that helps in system design, optimization and testing of complex Layer 1 4g/5g firmware. As a Layer 1 modeling Engineer on this team, you will be at the center of the 5G/4G/multimode cellular firmware effort within a firmware development group responsible for designing and productizing state-of-the-art cellular SoCs. This position requires someone that thrives in a dynamic cross-functional organization, is not afraid to debate ideas openly, and is flexible enough to pivot on constantly evolving requirements. Specify, design, and implement cellular 4g/5g L1 modeling environment. Model HW blocks in Virtual Platforms(VP). Model 4g/5g protocol stack blocks. Design test frameworks. Integrate code coverage, profiler tools. Automation scripts to run and analyze the results. Adapt test framework to work on HW, FPGA.
