We are seeking an enthusiastic Embedded Software Engineer continually push the envelope of technology implemented in Datacenter products. The ideal candidate will work directly on Software development and testing on Datacenter products and systems, capture hardware issues and software issues, then work with cross functional teams to triage, debug and fix the issues, finally deliver the optimal hardware, software and production solution for the products. We are looking for well-rounded candidates with a broad set of skill and interests, and the curiosity to dig deep wherever vital to tackle challenging problems. Opportunities exist to sample a variety of technology areas, and to remain general or specialize over time, developing domain expertise. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining software test system for Apple's datacenter products, work side by side with hardware engineers on specifying, implementing and debugging server chassis level and rack level stress tests for new products in development, conduct the test with the team, capture hardware/software issues, triage and debug them, finally fix them.

Required Qualifications
- Understand the basic architecture of embedded system either X86 platform or ARM platform, and operating OS running on them. (experience)
- Solid understanding of design and validation requirements for common low-speed and high-speed digital interfaces: I2C/SMBus, SPI, JTAG, I2S/TDM, USB, MIPI, PCIe etc. (experience)
- Experience with programming, testing and debugging embedded devices. (experience)
- Proficient in Python, JavaScript, HTML, Unix / Linux Shell and Git. (experience)
- Experience in data analysis of text logs other form of data source. (experience)
- Ability to work with complicated datacenter and server system at different levels, triage problems, prioritize, and propose resolutions. (experience)
- Demonstrated creative, critical and independent thinking capabilities and troubleshooting skills. (experience)
- Good communication skill with both Chinese and English. (experience)
- This role requires the candidate be in Taiwan. (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent experience on datacenter/server system SW stack and testing infrastructure (experience)
- Excellent experience with programming, testing and debugging embedded devices; (experience)
- Excellent experience with Operating System/OS, like Linux, Unix, MacOS etc, and great hands capability on panic triage and debug in driver and Kernel (experience)
- Excellent hands-on programming skills on C/C++/Python/HTML/Database etc; (experience)
- Knowledge/Experience of Digital communication protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, QSFP, SerDes etc) is an advantage; (experience)
- Familiarity with lab test equipment including logic analyzers, Protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes etc; (experience)
- Experience with working in or with manufacturing an advantage; (experience)
