We’re looking for a hardworking DevOps Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and is passionate about modernizing infrastructure using ground breaking, cloud-native technologies. Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering (experience, 5 years)
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS (experience)
- Hands on expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (experience)
- Hands on experience with Linux systems and scripting in Python, Bash, or similar for automation (experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields (degree in computer science or related fields)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying networking concepts in DevOps domain (experience)
- Experience in GitOps such as ArgoCD (experience)
- Experience cross-functional initiatives, and to architect, design, and deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions in collaboration with multiple teams (experience)
- Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies (particularly Istio), Kubernetes Event-driven Autoscaling (KEDA) and tools like Karpenter for dynamic and efficient workload scaling (experience)
- Proficient in using Git for version control, including experience with branching strategies and collaborative workflows (experience)
Responsibilities
- This role demands extensive hands on experience of working as a DevOps Engineer for a big, business critical application. As a DevOp Engineer, you will be a core team member driving infrastructure related transformation of our application. You will influence the design, scale, and management of cloud infrastructure and application stacks.
- Candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills to isolate issues, determine root cause and implement effective and innovative solutions
- Candidate should work cross functionally with other teams across Apple, to ensure our infrastructure and services are always accessible
- Candidate should develop innovative solutions that go beyond merely checking requirement boxes
- Candidate should be self motivated, capable of taking business critical decisions and should be comfortable working in a dynamic, ever changing environment
- Candidate should work independently while knowing when to seek assistance to achieve team goals
