Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for a Digital Experience Strategist - Greater China, to help us do extraordinary things. The Digital Experience and Merchandising (DE&M) team defines, develops and delivers an exceptional shopping experience for Apple Store Online customers across all of our digital platforms. This role will lead the digital experience team and will define, develop and execute innovative digital shopping experiences for Apple Store Online flagship stores on eCommerce Marketplaces and Social platforms. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of delivering innovative shopping experiences for a premium, global brand. You will play a significant role in defining the marketplace and social commerce experiences that distinguish official Apple digital stores as the top destinations for shopping Apple products. Collaborating with Creative Designers, Product Management, and other business stakeholders, you will define the customer journey, content strategy and ongoing optimization and enhancement plans to ensure a seamless, performant and engaging shopping experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+years demonstrated experience defining and developing consumer facing digital shopping journeys, or e-commerce experience for a premium global brand (experience, 12 years)
  • Team management experience with proven leadership capabilities (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of regional retail industry trends, marketplaces and social platforms including AliPay, WeChat, Tmall, Douyin etc. (experience)
  • Demonstrates Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity.
Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin). (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in related field or MBA (experience)
  • Exceptional ability to problem solve, develop creative solutions, and demonstrate. (experience)
  • Experience working closely with creative and UX teams to create innovative customer experiences and define shopping journeys. (experience)
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation. (experience)
  • Self starter with proven ability to influence across teams to drive innovation and results. (experience)
  • Adept at building collaborative bridges and fostering relationships with cross functional and global teams, in addition to flexibly adapting to feedback. (experience)

Responsibilities

You will play a significant role in defining the marketplace and social commerce experiences that distinguish official Apple digital stores as the top destinations for shopping Apple products. Collaborating with Creative Designers, Product Management, and other business stakeholders, you will define the customer journey, content strategy and ongoing optimization and enhancement plans to ensure a seamless, performant and engaging shopping experience.
  • Lead and coach a team of high performing Digital Experience Strategists
  • Defines how customers navigate, learn, shop, configure, and purchase products across our marketplace and social platforms.
  • Collaborates with key cross functional teams within the region to integrate business priorities and strategies into the shopping experience.
  • Establishes a baseline performance standard for platforms.
  • Clearly understands the business and shopper engagement from a customer journey and experience perspective, reports out regularly on performance and identifies actionable insights.
  • Author and present detailed strategic briefs and presentations to inform cross functional partners of business priorities, experience opportunities, and Conduct research on market & competitor trends and analyze consumer behavior and internal performance to drive optimization, expansion, and business case development.
