Required Qualifications

• Master Degree or equivalent experience of Mechanical and/or Materials (experience)
• Excellent project managements, written and verbal communication skills and people skills (experience)
• Strong capability and clear logical mind of mechanical failure analysis (experience)
• Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical design & validation (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD Degree or equivalent experience of Mechanical and/or Materials (experience)
• Experiences of CAD modeling, FEA, engineering drawing release, GD&T. Knowledge of other CAE tools (experience)
• Experiences in developing and manufacturing high volume display products (experience)
• Experience in working directly with mainstream LCD or OLED vendors (experience)

Responsibilities

• This role will serve as a focal point among module and mechanical DRI, system mechanical and module teams, supply management team and display vendors; research new materials from industry for our product design; and will work on new project design independently. The individual will be responsible for the overall display module development acting as Direct Responsible Individual
• - Investigate pioneering mechanical designs and technologies and generate new approaches to further enhance Apple product display performances and enable strong and compact system designs.
• - Research new materials and mechanical technology from industry proposing and reflecting to product design for performance and cost.
• - Define and review the overall module mechanical architecture & performance requirements.
• - Monitor build issues and heads up at display module / FATP site, solve the issue in timely manner.
• - Work closely with Reliability team to achieve designed performance, judge and analyze failures to provide proper feedback for design optimization
• - Achieve system performance goals through mechanical design optimization, applying 3D CAD (UG NX preferred), FEA, prototyping, and new material and manufacturing processes.
• - Work with system engineering team to understand system and validate display modules at system level
• - Work with project teams and supply base throughout product development phase and support the initial product ramp
• - Work with multi-functional team to do failure analysis on defects / front of screen issues
