Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or related major (degree in electrical and computer engineering)
• Understanding of software engineering principles and core computer science fundamentals. (experience)
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, strong analysis and debugging skills (experience)
• Hands-on experience in wireless/cellular software or firmware development. (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master/PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or related major (degree in electrical and computer engineering)
• Knowledge of 3GPP 5G/4G Layer 1 Control such as (RACH, Scheduling request, SRS, CSI, DRX) (experience)
• Excellent communication and documentation skills (experience)

Responsibilities

• Apple’s Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated Engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying, design and/or developing core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. We are passionate about keeping our users connected 24/7 wherever they go. • Design, implement and verify Cellular Layer 1 control software/firmware for an 5G/6G mobile wireless communications system.
• Develop key scheduling and control algorithms, while meeting strict real time deadlines, and optimizing code for cycle, latency, and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with global teams and colleagues to optimize solutions.
• Collaborate with other firmware and software designers to define interfaces with RF, physical layer, MAC/RRC, and other required subsystems.
