Apple is seeking an Etching Process Engineer with team management experience to drive Dry Etching process development and TFT process improvement for advanced display technologies used in Apple products. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with world-class experts, lead panel development in the industry, and contribute to cutting-edge innovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dry etching processes, experience in TFT process development, and the ability to manage a team to support technology advancements. - Lead Dry Etching process development and TFT process optimization for advanced display applications. - Collaborate closely with Apple’s global teams and display supply chain partners to develop next-generation display technologies. - Develop and maintain high-tech process and equipment to support cutting-edge manufacturing. - Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts for etching process deviations and equipment failures. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth. - Drive yield improvement and cost reduction through process optimization and equipment enhancement. - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production ramp-up and quality control for mass production.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Applied Physics, or equivalent experiences. (experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Dry Etching process development in semiconductor fabs or flat-panel display manufacturing. (experience, 5 years)
- Strong expertise in critical contact via and metal dry etching processes. (experience)
- Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies and statistical Design of Experiments (DoE), including full factorial, fractional factorial, and Taguchi methods to analyze process variables, improve yield, and enhance process robustness. (experience)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in LTPS or Oxide TFT process development for high-mobility oxide TFT and LTPS+Oxide (LTPO) TFT. (experience)
- Strong experience in mass production (MP) and R&D, including Fab operations, SOP documentation, and process integration. (experience)
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects, working closely with material and equipment vendors to develop next-generation etching technologies. (experience)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of driving technical innovation. (experience)
