Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. (degree in law)
• Demonstrated ability with 5 years of experience in Vietnam immigration. (experience, 5 years)
• In-depth knowledge of Vietnam’s immigration laws, labor laws, and corporate compliance requirements. (experience)
• Experience liaising with Vietnamese government bodies and immigration authorities. (experience)
• Strong project management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. (experience)
• Excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English (spoken and written). (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach. (experience)
• Client-focused mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships. (experience)
• Prior experience in an in-house role or consultancy firm is advantageous. (experience)

Responsibilities

• We are seeking a highly qualified Immigration Program Manager to lead and coordinate all our immigration activities in Vietnam. This role involves close oversight of the end-to-end immigration processes, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese immigration laws, and providing strategic guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert be a strong advocate for positive employee experience.
• Manage and lead all aspects of the full lifecycle of immigration processes in Vietnam including visa applications, work permits, temporary residence cards, and business travel compliance.
• Monitor changes in Vietnamese immigration regulations and provide timely updates and strategic advice to the business and clients.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with government authorities and external immigration counsel.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for immigration inquiries, offering expert guidance on documentation, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement streamlined immigration workflows and operational procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce processing time.
• Managing external council performance to ensure immigration activities are performed within agreed SLAs and compliance standards.
• Provide training and strategic advisory to People Business Partners, recruitment, and mobility teams on Vietnam immigration processes and updates.
• Prepare regular reports and metrics on immigration activities, risk assessments, and case progress.
• Handle escalations and resolve sophisticated immigration issues, offering practical solutions tailored to the needs of Apple and its businesses.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and policy development within the Immigration team.
• Support the broader Immigration team as needed with regional initiatives.
