Will you help us design the next generation of revolutionary Apple products? - Perform applied materials research into new metallic materials for emerging product design needs - Develop test plans in collaboration with material engineers and product design teams to drive material selection, design feasibility, and performance of new parts - Support failure analysis, material characterization, and material modeling activities across all product lines - Document and present results to alloy team, material suppliers, product design teams and reliability engineering

Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in Bachelors/Masters/PhD studies in Material Science, Mechanical engineering or related field (degree in bachelors)
- Knowledge of physical metallurgy and basic design principles (experience)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Laboratory experience with metal alloys and structure-property relationships, including design of experiments and data analysis (experience)
- Familiarity with computational thermodynamics and materials design, including machine learning approaches (experience)
- Ability to work in fast paced, team-based environment (experience)
- Interest in Apple and materials product design as a career after graduation (experience)
