Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in server-side Java development. (experience, 7 years)

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of security principles for modern microservices, including mTLS, authentication, authorization, and security auditing. (experience)
• Expertise in building scalable services using asynchronous programming, non-blocking I/O, and multi-threading. (experience)
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra and Redis. (experience)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and deploying services in a cloud infrastructure. (experience)
• A strong sense of ownership, with shown experience leading the full lifecycle of multiple services (from architecture and design to development, testing, and maintenance). (experience)
• Excellent partnership and interpersonal skills for effective multi-functional collaboration. (experience)

Responsibilities

• As a server engineer on our team, you will be directly responsible for improving the backend services that form the backbone of iCloud Mail.
