Apple is looking for an Kubernetes Platform Engineer to deploy, operate, and enhance Kubernetes infrastructure within our Silicon Technologies organization. In this highly visible role, you will have the responsibility of ensuring that Apple's world class Silicon Engineering Group has reliable, scalable, and secure container orchestration platforms needed to engineer and design the world's most advanced silicon devices and products. You will utilize your expertise in Kubernetes administration, infrastructure automation, container technologies, and platform development to build and maintain robust cluster environments that support critical engineering workflows and development processes. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Developing and fostering partnerships with cross-functional teams is key to long-term success. The person filling this position must be a hands-on, pro-active, self-motivated administrator with strong initiative and a desire to succeed in a challenging environment. You will demonstrate technical leadership by championing cloud-native practices and implementing sophisticated Kubernetes solutions that support our large distributed environment. You'll be expected to provide architectural guidance and demonstrate expertise in cluster management, security hardening, and performance optimization.
