Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. The Lead Design Producer role for Packaging is part of the Design Team in Marcom. The role is design-led and will focus on delivering best in class work for specific product launches. In this role, you will partner closely with the Design Team Packaging designers to determine the creative expression for Apple’s product packaging. This role requires a thorough understanding of the design/creative process and the ability to form strong partnerships and build relationships with key decision makers along the project lifecycle. A successful Lead Design Producer is a highly organized and adaptable leader who can manage multiple projects, timelines, and collaborators simultaneously across a wide range of categories. RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing creative development (collecting assets and information for the creative team, ensuring they are set-up for success in their explorations), organizing presentations, managing approval processes and creative schedules. Work closely with other teams within Marcom (including Creative, Editing, Production and Studio) and work cross-functionally with other groups at Apple (Product Marketing, Human Interface, Industrial Design) to create product packaging and ensure creative objectives are well defined and appropriately implemented. Aligning with Marcom Strategy, Marcom Brand and Marcom Production partners to create end-to-end timing plans that deliver against the business need. Scheduling shares, set up kick-offs, weekly check-ins, distilling feedback, distributing meeting notes and driving the team toward creative lock — operating with foresight, staying ahead of potential roadblocks. Understand the legal, regulatory, environmental, and manufacturing constraints related to each category of products and partner with your designer to implement as needed. Forecasting creative resource needs and actively managing project resources in planning tools; working closely with your Manager to make recommendations for project-level staffing based on project needs and creatives’ bandwidth. Problem-solving obstacles that create inefficiencies and making recommendations for new ways of working. Being humble, kind, hard-working and able to bring levity in situations is important for success in this role.
